Amazon has released A9, a search engine that can search both the web, and within its books, simultaneously. Nifty.
One thing that’s been getting a lot of press is how it presents your recent searches.
Such an idea is hardly new. On August 29, 1999, I pointed out how Microsoft was doing the same with their support knowledge base.

Other theories are that they will leverage the data and and mine the information. Keep in mind that in order to personalize a9 you must either signup for or use your Amazon login information. They are now able to tie tons of information about a customer together.
